We went to Moonrakers for lunch today as a treat and had the most delicious meal. I had venison carpaccio and truffles followed by John Dory with bacon and lentil salsa and a red pepper puree whilst Steve had new season asparagus with hollandaise and pink grapefruit with quails eggs and red veined sorrel followed by blade of beef with nettle risotto. So divine. The desserts too were truly excellent. Jerusalem artichoke and white chocolate cheese cake with a cashew nut ice cream - subtle and fragrant - but topped by Steve's lemon curd parfait, yoghurt sorbet and pine nut crumble which made your mouth zing. Got to be my favourite restaurant at the moment.
Then, to add and even further note of ecstasy, the petit four were orange and dark chocolate truffle, white fudge with lemon zest and blackberry jelly dusted with sherbet. I am drooling still.
